KAROTA Enlightens Traders and Motorists Against illegal Display of Wares, Vehicles on Roads

The Kano State Roads Traffic Agency, KAROTA has embarked on a massive enlightenment of motorists and traders on the illegal display of their goods along major roads and streets in the metropolis.
The Deputy Managing Director of KAROTA, Hon Auwalu Shu'aibu Aranposu who led a team of Marshalls to some major markets and business places said the move was to check the rampant practices by traders and other business owners of flooding the streets with illegal parking of vehicles and display of goods.
A press statement issued to EVOLVED REPORTERS by Abubakar Ibrahim Sharada, the PublicRelationsOfficer oftheagency, said tthe team, which visited 'Yankura, Sabon Gari, Kano Guest and WAPA markets , directed traders, vehicles and motorcycles dealers to remove them from the streets to allow free flow of traffic along the roads.
Hon Auwalu Shu'aibu Aranposu urged the traders to cooperate with the Agency in its efforts to sanitize the streets of rampant displays.
The DMD however warned that the next the agency would take would be enforcement of the ban on rampant trading.
He also advised motorists to always obey traffic rules and regulations and urged other agencies of government and politicians to complement efforts by Karota in ensuring sanity on our streets.
