DMCSA Hosts FCDO-Lafiya Delegation to Strengthen Health Commodities Security in Kano

Gali Sule, alongside his Management Team, today, Thursday, 26th March 2026, received a high-level delegation from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), the Lafiya Programme, during a field visit to the Agency. The visiting delegation, led by Juliet Whitley, the Head of Health at FCDO, stated that the purpose of the visit was to deepen understanding of Kano State’s priorities and ongoing health system strengthening initiatives, particularly in the area of commodities security. Kano Health Ministry Convenes iLMD and Data Review Meeting for EDOs, MCH Coordinators Across 44 LGAs

The engagement, which brought together key stakeholders from the state health sector, including representatives from the Drugs and Medical Consumables Supply Agency, Hospitals Management Board, and Primary Health Care Management Board, aimed to strengthen the efficiency and accountability of the state’s health supply chain system, particularly in the delivery of essential medicines and family planning commodities to healthcare facilities at the last-mile.
