CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE TO HIS EXCELLENCY, ALHAJI ABBA KABIR YUSUF, EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF KANO STATE, ON HIS SECOND ANNIVERSARY IN OFFICE



On behalf of the management and staff of the Kano State Drugs and Medical Consumables Supply Agency, I, Pharm. Gali Sule, FPSN, heartily congratulate His Excellency, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Executive Governor of Kano State, on the occasion of your two years in office since your inauguration on May 29, 2023.

Your Excellency, these two years have been marked by visionary leadership, impactful reforms, and unwavering dedication to the health and well-being of the people of Kano State.

Under your purposeful administration, the Kano State Drugs and Medical Consumables Supply Agency (DMCSA) has witnessed a new era of revitalization and efficiency. Your strategic support has strengthened the agency’s capacity to ensure the uninterrupted supply of quality-assured drugs and essential medical consumables to government health facilities across the state.

The rehabilitation and reactivation of the agency’s central medical warehouse, the automation of our drug distribution system, and the adoption of a transparent procurement process are direct results of your commitment to strengthening the state’s healthcare delivery system.

Your Excellency, your prioritization of healthcare through improved funding, timely release of budgeted allocations, and policy direction has not only repositioned our agency but also restored confidence in the public health supply chain.

Furthermore, the supply of essential medicines to over 800 primary and secondary health facilities, coupled with the retraining of health personnel on rational drug use and inventory management, has significantly improved service delivery to the people of Kano State.

We are proud to be part of your administration’s health sector achievements and remain committed to upholding the high standards you have set. Your leadership continues to inspire dedication, innovation, and accountability in public service.

As we mark this milestone, I pray for your continued wisdom, strength, and good health as you steer Kano State toward greater heights.

Society launches 2025 humanitarian activities calendar in Kano

By Zainab Olufunmi  The Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS), Kano state branch, has urged volunteers to embark on house to house enlightenment to educate mothers on childcare, hygiene, and environmental health.  The Executive Secretary of the NRCS Kano Branch, Alhaji Musa Abdullahi, stated this at a news conference on Monday in Kano.  He said that the enlightenment is meant to ensure the well-being of children and the community at large. He reaffirmed the society's dedication to supporting government and aiding communities in Kano through continuous humanitarian efforts. He launched the 2025 humanitarian activities calendar to enhance public awareness and coordination of its services across the state and beyond. The calendar, he said would serve as guide for humanitarian interventions across various local government areas and communities in Kano and Nigeria at large.
