NNPP Mobilization Committee Commiserates, Donates Money to Families of Gombe Truck Acciden

The Gombe State New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) Presidential Contact and Mobilization Committee has paid condolence visits to the families of the victims of truck accident in Billiri Local Government Area.

During the visit, Pharm. Gali Sule, the Director-General of Kano State Drugs and Medical Consumables Supply Agency and Chairman of the Committee, consoled with the bereaved families over the loss of their loved ones.

In the tragedy, five people were reportedly died, and 13 others were severely injured when a truck rammed into a procession of Christian faithful celebrating Easter on Monday 21st April in Billiri town.

Expressing his grief over the sad incident, Pharm. Gali Sule prayed for the quick recovery of the injured persons. The committee then donated N200,000 to the affected families.

Members of the Mobilization Committee, comprising notable politicians, including Alh. Zangina Jafaru, the Executive Secretary Kano State Consumer Protection Council, Hajiya A'in Jafaru Fagge, Abubakar Usman Kibiya, the Acting NNPP Kano State Youths Leader Alh. Auwalu kibiya, and Alh. Mukhtar Tijjani Kura, were accompanied by party executives of Gombe State NNPP, headed by the Caretaker Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Mohammed Wali.

Society launches 2025 humanitarian activities calendar in Kano

By Zainab Olufunmi  The Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS), Kano state branch, has urged volunteers to embark on house to house enlightenment to educate mothers on childcare, hygiene, and environmental health.  The Executive Secretary of the NRCS Kano Branch, Alhaji Musa Abdullahi, stated this at a news conference on Monday in Kano.  He said that the enlightenment is meant to ensure the well-being of children and the community at large. He reaffirmed the society's dedication to supporting government and aiding communities in Kano through continuous humanitarian efforts. He launched the 2025 humanitarian activities calendar to enhance public awareness and coordination of its services across the state and beyond.
