NRCS Organizes HCID Step-Down training to enhance healthcare delivery

The Nigerian Red Cross Society, Kano State Branch has organized a one-day HCID (Health Care in Danger) step-down training for selected healthcare personnel in Kano. 

The training is aimed to foster stronger relationship between healthcare providers and communities they serve, to enhance healthcare service delivery.

Reports said that key figures who grace the occasion include Branch Chairman, Barrister Salisu Idris Sallama, Branch Secretary, Alhaji Musa D. Abdullahi, and Chief Imam of Giginyu Jumat Mosque.

Participants were drawn from various sectors, such as State Primary Healthcare Management Board, Hospital Management Board, health facilities, media representatives and religious leaders.

By Pharmacist Gali Sule Today, I wish to shed light on our collective journey of reform and progress at the Kano State Drugs and Medical Consumables Supply Agency (DMCSA). When I assumed office in July 2023 under the administration of His Excellency, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Executive Governor of Kano State, the Agency was in dire straits. We inherited a negative fund balance of over ₦102 million, an overwhelming debt burden of ₦1.178 billion, and a stock availability level of barely 30%, leaving our government-owned health facilities exposed to dangerous shortages of essential drugs and medical consumables. Pharm. Gali Sule Mourns the Death of 2 Kano Lawmakers

Gali Sule has expressed grief and offered his condolences to the Government and the people of Kano State over the death of two members of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Aminu Sa'ad (Ungogo Constituency) and Hon. Sarki Aliyu Daneji (Kano Municipal Constituency) who died on Wednesday 24th December 2025.
