Ma'aji Sumaila Inspects Upgrade of Convocation Arena as Aliko Dangote University Prepares for 25th Anniversary

By Aisha Tahir Saraki  In line with its mandate, the Kano State Ministry for Public Procurement, Project Monitoring, and Evaluation (MPPPM&E) conducted an inspection of the ongoing upgrade and renovation of the Convocation Arena at Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technologyy, Wudil. A press statement issued  to EVOLVED REPORTERS by Sagiru Ado Abubakar the Public Relations Officer of the ministry, quoted the Vice Chancellor of ADUST Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai, saying the renovation is timely and essential, as the university is preparing to hold a convocation ceremony for several student cohorts who graduated as far back as 2016. NNPP Mobilization Committee Commiserates, Donates Money to Families of Gombe Truck Acciden

By Aisha Tahir Saraki  The Gombe State New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) Presidential Contact and Mobilization Committee has paid condolence visits to the families of the victims of truck accident in Billiri Local Government Area. During the visit, Pharm. Gali Sule, the Director-General of Kano State Drugs and Medical Consumables Supply Agency and Chairman of the Committee, consoled with the bereaved families over the loss of their loved ones. In the tragedy, five people were reportedly died, and 13 others were severely injured when a truck rammed into a procession of Christian faithful celebrating Easter on Monday 21st April in Billiri town. Kano Drug Agency Launches Last-Mile Delivery for Family Planning Commodities

The last-mile delivery for family planning commodities is a strategic initiative aimed at integrating the family planning supplies with the Drug Revolving Fund (DRF) scheme, whereby the state-owned health facilities will receive their supplies from the DMCSA warehouses free of charge.. The program is a collaborative effort between the DMCSA and the Gates Foundation through its Implementing Partner, the Capacity for Sustainable Development, C4SD. Speaking at the event, Pharm. Kano Hospital Board to Distribute Hydroxyurea Worth N55M,, 6000 Delivery, 500 CS Packs

The items to be distributed, according to Dr. Mansur Mudi Nagoda, the Executive Secretary of the Board, includes 500 Cesarean section (CS) packs, 6000 delivery packs, and 55 million naira worth hydroxyurea to sickle cell disease patients. This intervention, however, signifies the commitment of the Kano State government to generally improve healthcare access by supporting maternal and other healthcare services and reduce mortality rates in the state. Kano DMCSA Sensitize Essential Drug Officers on Last Mile Delivery for Family Planning Commodities
