Ma'aji Sumaila Warns Contractors of 5KM Road Projects:

By Our Correspondent  The Ministry for Public Procurement Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Kano has warned contractors handling the ongoing 5km road Projects In 44 local governments to speed up work or face contract termination. The Commissioner Nura Ma'aji Sumaila issued the warning Thursday after receiving complaints from the local residents shortly after inspection of the 5KM road project in Bunkure local government.  A press statement issued by Sagiru Ado Abubakar, the Public Relations Officer of the ministry, indicated that one Aminu Muhammad, a resident of Kofar Fada neighborhood in Bunkure town complained to the Commissioner that people in the locality are afraid because of the heavy rain flows during the rainy season. Society launches 2025 humanitarian activities calendar in Kano

Forest Security receives 25 complaints in Kano

By Zainab Olufunmi  Nigeria Forest Security Service (NFSS), Kano State Command, says it received no fewer than 25 complaints in January. The Commander of NFSS in the state, Abdullahi Al’ameen, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano on Monday. Al’ameen said that out of the 25 complainants received, 18 has been treated and done with, while seven are still pending. He also said that the cases received within the period under review, were mainly on animal theft, burglary, phone theft, motorcycle theft, Kidnapping among others. He noted that the service was trying its best to leave up to its mandate, which include prevention, detection of crimes and illegal activities perpetrated in the forests.
