KHETFUND Disburse Over N2b for 90 Interventions in 2025

By Rukayya Nadabo   In a landmark move to restrengthen the health sector through strategic funding, the Kano State Health Trust Fund (KHETFUND) has disbursed over N2 billion to healthcare facilities, health institutions, as well as health parastatals for some 90 interventions in the year 2025. The Executive Secretary of KHETFUND Dr. Fatima Usman Zahraddeen made this known while speaking during Beneficiaries' Performance Review Meeting organized by the Agency and held, Tuesday, at Comfort Hub Hotel in the metropolis. According to her, the major interventions funded by KHETFUND include the procurement of hospital equipment, constructions and renovations of key infrastructures, payment of accreditation and qualifying examinations, solar power installation, among others. Pharm. Gali Sule Mourns the Death of 2 Kano Lawmakers

Gali Sule has expressed grief and offered his condolences to the Government and the people of Kano State over the death of two members of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Aminu Sa'ad (Ungogo Constituency) and Hon. Sarki Aliyu Daneji (Kano Municipal Constituency) who died on Wednesday 24th December 2025. "I received with profound sorrow the news of the passing of two distinguished members of the Kano State House of Assembly, Hon. Aminu Sa'ad and Hon. Sarki Aliyu Daneji," Pharm. Kano State Holds Onboarding for Oversight Committee on BHCPF

The onboarding, which was commenced on Saturday at Bafra International Hotel Kaduna, brought together key stakeholders from government Ministries Department and Agencies including Kano State Minstry of Health, Kano State PHCMB, KSCHMA,  the representatives of ALGON,  the Minstries of Finance, Planning and Budget, National Primary Health Care Development Agency, and National Health Insurance Authority. The event, which was organized with support from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) Lafiya Programme, brings together key stakeholders from across the health sector, including, clinicians, pharmacists, public health experts, regulatory agencies, development partners, and civil society organizations.
